Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions explain how Haven Carpets & Flooring provides flooring products, quotes, measuring, supply, fitting and related services.
By using our website, requesting a quote, booking a home visit, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these terms.

3. Quotes and Estimates
Any quote or estimate we provide is based on the information available at the time. This may include room measurements, flooring type, fitting requirements, subfloor condition, removal of old flooring and any accessories needed.
A quote may change if:
- room measurements are different from those first provided
- extra preparation work is needed
- the subfloor condition requires additional work
- the customer changes the flooring choice or fitting plan
- extra materials, trims, underlay or accessories are required
We will aim to explain any changes before extra work is carried out.
4. Home Visits and Measuring
We offer home visits and measuring appointments across Liverpool and nearby areas. A measure helps us give a more accurate quote, but it does not create a binding order unless an order is confirmed.
Please make sure the area is safe and accessible for measuring. If we cannot access the room, stairs or property properly, we may need to rearrange the visit.
5. Orders and Confirmation
An order is usually confirmed when:
- you agree to the quote
- the flooring product is selected
- any required deposit is paid
- a fitting or delivery plan is agreed
Please check all order details carefully, including product type, colour, room size, fitting area and any accessories. Flooring colours and textures may look different depending on lighting, screen settings and room conditions.
6. Deposits and Payments
We may ask for a deposit before ordering materials or booking fitting work. The remaining balance must be paid as agreed, normally before or on completion of the work.
Payment terms will be explained at the time of order. We reserve the right to delay ordering or fitting if payment is not received when due.
7. Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order or fitting appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
Cancellation terms may depend on:
- whether materials have already been ordered
- whether flooring has been cut, prepared or custom ordered
- whether fitting time has already been booked
- whether any work has already started
Where a cancellation causes costs or losses already incurred, we may need to retain a fair amount to cover those costs. We will deal with cancellations fairly and in line with applicable UK consumer rules.
8. Fitting Dates and Access
We will try to attend on the agreed fitting date and time. Sometimes delays can happen due to stock availability, traffic, weather, supplier delays, previous jobs taking longer than expected, or other issues outside our control.
The customer must make sure:
- someone is available to give access
- rooms are clear where agreed
- old flooring is ready for removal if not included in the quote
- pets and children are kept safely away from the work area
- parking or access arrangements are explained in advance
If we cannot start work because the property is not ready or accessible, extra charges may apply for wasted time or rearranged fitting.
9. Room Preparation
Unless agreed in writing, customers are responsible for moving personal belongings, fragile items, valuables and small furniture before fitting begins.
If furniture moving is agreed, it may be limited to reasonable items only. We are not responsible for damage to items that were not removed from the work area when they should have been.
10. Subfloor and Existing Flooring
Flooring performance depends on the condition of the floor underneath. If the subfloor is uneven, damp, damaged or unsuitable, extra preparation may be needed before fitting can continue.
We will advise where we can, but hidden issues may only become visible after old flooring is lifted.
11. Product Appearance and Samples
Flooring samples are used as a guide. The final product may vary slightly in colour, shade, grain, texture or pattern. This can happen because of batch differences, natural materials, lighting and room conditions.
We recommend viewing samples in person where possible before choosing flooring.
12. Installation and Workmanship
We aim to carry out fitting work with reasonable care and skill. This means work should be done properly, safely and to a reasonable standard.
Small joins, seams, trims or transitions may be visible depending on the flooring type, room size, doorway positions and fitting method.
13. Aftercare
After fitting, we may give basic care advice depending on the flooring type. Customers are responsible for looking after the flooring properly after installation.
Damage caused by misuse, poor cleaning methods, heavy furniture, sharp objects, pet damage, water damage, excessive moisture, poor ventilation or normal wear and tear is not covered unless otherwise agreed in writing.
14. Guarantees and Product Warranties
Some flooring products may include a manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms vary by product, brand and use.
Any manufacturer warranty is separate from your legal rights. It may not cover incorrect use, poor maintenance, water damage, accidental damage, commercial use where not suitable, or normal wear and tear.
15. Complaints and Problems
If there is a problem with your flooring or fitting, please contact us as soon as possible. We may need to inspect the flooring before deciding the best next step.
Please do not arrange third-party repairs before giving us a reasonable chance to inspect and respond, as this may affect our ability to help.
16. Liability
We are not responsible for losses caused by:
- incorrect information provided by the customer
- rooms not being ready for fitting
- hidden subfloor issues
- delays outside our reasonable control
- damage caused after installation by misuse or poor care
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights or excludes liability where the law does not allow us to do so.
17. Website Use
The information on this website is for general guidance only. We try to keep it accurate and updated, but flooring advice may depend on the property, room condition, subfloor, product choice and fitting method.
We may update website content, services, prices and these terms from time to time.
18. Privacy
When you contact us, request a quote or use our services, we may collect personal information such as your name, phone number, email address, property address and flooring requirements.
